I decided to try this new place called the Fresh Kitchen located in Orlando. I wanted to go somewhere I have never been before and with some research, I found this place.
The fresh kitchen offers healthier options, so it’s a great place to go if you want to have a cheat meal, but don’t want to veer off your diet too much. Their meals come in bowls where you can pick from options of bases, veggies, protein, and sauces.
My order consisted of a base of broccoli pesto rice and lightly dressed spinach. My veggie of choice was chopped sweet potato and my protein was bbq chicken. I got an extra of parmesan cheese for an extra $.50 and the cucumber jalapeño sauce. For a drink, I tried the strawberry kiwi tea. My whole meal cost $12.12 which I didn’t think was too bad.
The spinach was delicious and paired well with the broccoli pesto rice. The sweet potato was nicely baked and the bbq chicken had a charred taste which I really liked. The bowl tasted great by itself and didn’t need the sauce, but the sauce did compliment the bowl. The cucumber sauce had a nice kick to it and it tasted great with the rice and spinach.
The tea tasted more like infused water with strawberry and kiwi than an actual tea, but it was refreshing.
All in all, I enjoyed the food and would come back. If your ever find yourself in the Orlando area, drop by this place. You won’t regret it.
